I purchased a used 2022 Lexus GX460 from Van Nuys
I purchased a used 2022 Lexus GX460 from Van Nuys Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on September 13, 2022. The vehicle has a deep scratch in the rear passenger door that goes all the way down to bare metal. Being that I was purchasing a used car, I overlooked other minor scratches but insisted that that deeper scratch be added to the due bill because it could cause rust. The sales manager, Badie Audish, agreed to pay to get this damage fixed. Since I do not live in the LA area, Badie assured me that I could have the work done near my home. He agreed to cut me a check for an amount equaling the average of the 3 repair quotes, which came out to be $1,528.74. However, when I provided proof of the quotes and requested that a check be distributed, they only agreed to payout the lowest quote amount, but only after I had the work done. After further discussion, they then offered to reimburse me the full amount, but again, only after the work had been done. I do not trust that they will reimburse me for the repair costs as they have given me the runaround for almost a month now. I've called, emailed and sent text messages to my sales person, Harry Merdinian to address this matter with no response. I spent $20,000 on a down payment with this dealership and they are refusing cover costs that were agreed upon in the contract. I will continue to pursue this matter until I receive the compensation I am owed.

Illegally refused service to a vehicle they sold me
Illegally refused service to a vehicle they sold me breaking a multitude of California, Federal and Florida Laws. My experience with Van Nuys CDJR, formerly known as Russell Westbrook CDJR, has been nothing short of a nightmare. The ordeal began when the dealership sold the same Jeep to another customer after I had already made a deposit and signed a contract for it. This initial breach of trust set the tone for a series of unfortunate events that have left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. The dealership's lack of communication has been a persistent issue. Despite multiple attempts to address the problems with my vehicle, the dealership has consistently failed to respond adequately. They have ignored my requests for service, denied me access to a loaner vehicle included in my service and extended warranty contract, and have generally shown a complete disregard for customer service. The dealership's staff, particularly their salespeople, have demonstrated a lack of knowledge and professionalism. They sold me a 100,000-mile warranty, only for me to find out from Jeep Wave that the warranty was only applied to the previous owner. They also pressured me into purchasing Dealer Add Ons beyond the MSRP, including a Paint Protectant that had already been applied to the vehicle. Moreover, the dealership may have violated several consumer protection laws in California and Florida, as well as federal laws. These potential violations include forcing me to purchase Dealer Add Ons, failing to provide a loaner vehicle as per my top-tier coverage plan, and selling a vehicle to another customer after I had already signed a contract for it. When I attempted to voice my concerns and share my experience on social media, the dealership's team deleted my comments in an attempt to cover up their shortcomings. This blatant disregard for transparency and accountability is deeply concerning. Finally, when the dealership decided they no longer wanted to deal with me, they cut off all communication and forwarded me to their attorney. This move was not only unprofessional but also indicative of their unwillingness to take responsibility for their actions. The final words from the GM as instructed to the Manager to me was that they would refuse to service my vehicle, breaching the Song-Beverly Act, BUT they were willing to simply sell me another vehicle. Read that again, they refused to service the vehicle they sold me including 2 federally required recalls, but instead said they would sell me a whole new vehicle. There is no further possible definition of a sleezy car dealership. This may explain the reason why Russell Westbrook chose to take his name off of their business which is why they are called Van Nuys CDJR now. The experience with Van Nuys CDJR, formerly Russell Westbrook CDJR, was fraught with unprofessionalism, lack of communication, potential legal violations, and a disregard for customer service. The dealership's actions resulted in a prolonged ordeal over a vehicle that was eventually declared a Lemon by the manufacturer themselves. The dealership's lack of response to my concerns, their failure to honor the purchase agreement and the extended warranty, and their potential violation of several laws demonstrate a lack of business ethics and respect for their customers. This experience serves as a warning to potential buyers about the possible issues they may face when dealing with this dealership. I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise caution when considering a purchase from this dealership. If you have a full time staff deleting social media comments by the hour, you most likely have something to hide.

I went to this dealership to see what my options were on trading in my car and possible getting a new one. After looking at all their stock nothing was really popping out to me. I finally saw something that might have been an option we went back to the sales office where they had me fill out the credit application. I told me Salesman SEVERAL times I DIDN'T want to run my credit until I knew what they were going to give me for my car and we agreed on a deal I was comfortable with. I then told the salesman I didn’t really want to make any deals on the car they had on the lot cause it didn't have the options on it that i was looking for. We then discussed maybe looking at their sister company to see if i liked anything there and they would bring it in to make a deal. The salesman then told me give me about 5 mins and ill get you a list of what we have for you to look at. While waiting for him to return I received an alert on my phone from. Experian saying they ran my credit without ever having a deal made or even a car picked out. I confronted the salesman yelling at him asking him why they ran my credit when i told him Several times not to till we had a deal on the table. The manager heard me yelling and came over to see if he could help. I explained to him what happened and his reply was "we will make sure it doesn't happen again" i asked what do you mean it already happened the damage is done. He then said we won’t run it again till we make a deal you are comfortable with... needle’s to say all I left with that night was a hard inquiry on my credit and a bad experience. I’d say stay away from that shady dealership

Pushy staff who falsely advertise. When you finally buy a used car they only give you one key. saying ‘that’s what happens when you buy a used car’. i very much doubt they would have said that to a man and given i had no former experience with buying a used car, i fell for it. I have tried to get another key many times and they just ignore me. please avoid this place, they are crooked and mean spirited.

Chris finally did address the Amazon $50 certificate.
Chris finally did address the Amazon $50 certificate. I received a $50 check from the dealership and that was good enough. My thanks to his perseverance. Unfortunately, the folks on the ground (sales) are not tied into the website in a way that allows them to be responsive to their own e-marketing. This is common for many sales teams whose priorities are to meet their numbers, and after the sale, their support falls off. However, there is a complaint still ongoing with the parts department. Which is the reason for the 3 star rating. I ordered a $1400 set of running boards by driving from Bakersfield to Van Nuys, thinking that seeing the parts person face-to-face would strike some higher level of customer service also considering that I just bought a truck from the dealership. However I was treated to a "Chinese Wall" approach where the parts department could care less if I just spent $70K on a new truck, their dept profit margin mattered the most. I paid an extra credit card fee for a special order because after buying the truck I forgot to add them to the original sales invoice - I think this charge was petty as it cut by a third the discount I recieved, but without complaining I paid the extra fee, and when they didn't come in, they had to order them again on the day I was supposed to drive down to pick them up. I had to cancel appointments I made for the next day to have them installed in Bakersfield. This is not good customer service. Had I driven down instead of calling first I would have been highly irritated and sought out the parts manager. As it was, I accepted the somewhat lame reason of "I don't know." to my question of "What happened?", but if they are held up again, then Mr. Chavez's supervisor and the General Manager(s) will hear my complaint. I'm assuming this is Juan Del Rio or Armenak Galstyan as heads of the parts department. So far, the experience of buying a $70,000 truck has been relatively good, but I understand why dealerships are under fire by the manufacturers for more reasons than the usual tricks of the trade, That is bad or reflexive customer service after the sale. They should be proactive in gathering feedback through phone interviews and document the practices that make up the sales and aftercare experience.

Waiting to get your car into service was way too long. When you have an appointment you should not be told that it can take day before they can look at your car. When you do get the problem of the car and too fix it you charge way toooooooo much . I was told it would be 4500 to fix the issue. I know that was crazy was charged 300 for something that could of charged 100 or free to tell me the issue. Went to my mechanic and was charged to fix the car for 2000. Big difference and I will not bring my car to you again. This was just ripping a customer off.

In month of June, my daughter Celina Marie Arevalo and my son Samuel Carlo Arevalo (your salesmen put them both as buyer/co-buyer just to make the sale happened that day) went to your branch by themselves then call me afterwards while doing the negotiation. Thought the process was really smooth but within a month so many letters were received from different banks and financial institutions which messed up both of their credits. Seems like your salesmen just want to make a sale on that day. My kids were not in a hurry to get new car, but yes it is your salesmen job to sell how they want to make their sale no matter what. Second thing, Celina Marie Arevalo traded in the HONDA car but until now it seems it was not reported by your branch to DMV that it was transferred because we are receiving letters from the DMV that my daughter was in default of not paying the car registration. Please fix everything because we are not happy the way my kids transactions were processed especially the financing part..... Thank you. Cristina Arevalo (213)448-7359

I was never told about the 10 day courtesy rental and the service adviser told me to extend the rental and now I am only getting 50% of the reimbursement. I left multiple messages for the past 2 1/2 weeks and they have ignored my phone calls. Very bad customer service and bad communication. Jeep owners be aware!!!. Chrysler's rental reimbursement policy will only covered 10 days.
